Microneedling Treatments Become Top Request at Schaumburg Aesthetic Clinics
Aesthetic clinics in Schaumburg report microneedling has become their most requested skin treatment, driven by demand for lower-downtime procedures.
Aesthetic clinics across Schaumburg report that microneedling has become their most requested skin treatment over the past year, overtaking chemical peels and laser resurfacing as clients increasingly favor procedures with shorter recovery times that fit around work and social schedules.
Providers said the treatment's appeal lies largely in its relatively minimal downtime compared with more aggressive resurfacing procedures, allowing clients to return to normal activities within a day or two rather than the week or more of visible redness and peeling associated with some laser treatments.
"People want results, but they also don't want to disappear from work or social plans for a week to get them," said an aesthetician at a Schaumburg skincare clinic. "Microneedling has become the treatment people request specifically because they can get it done on a Friday and look completely normal by Monday."
Several clinics have added radiofrequency microneedling devices, a newer variation of the treatment that combines traditional needling with heat energy delivered beneath the skin's surface, which providers say produces more dramatic results for concerns like acne scarring and skin laxity compared with standard microneedling alone. The devices represent a significant equipment investment for smaller clinics, with several providers financing the purchases through equipment leasing arrangements.
Dermatologists have generally described microneedling as a safe procedure with a solid evidence base for treating certain skin concerns, though they caution that results vary depending on the specific device used and the provider's training. Schaumburg clinic owners said demand for the treatment has grown steadily enough that several practices have added dedicated appointment blocks specifically for microneedling to keep pace with booking requests.
